Synergy Student Spotlight: Nidaa Aljabbarin

Meet Nidaa Aljabbarin, Syracuse University Class of 2022 and Biology Major. For her internship, Nidaa was placed at Syracuse Community Health Center where she served as Patient Coordinator and Translator.

“Throughout my internship opportunity, I was able to get a close look and experience on what it is like working in the health field by directly working with providers at local clinics. My Synergy mentor helped obtain an opportunity to shadow doctors at Crouse Hospital andI also got the opportunity to be part of research that focuses on food access among the refugee communities in Syracuse. The Synergy Program has taught me so much, including how to manage my professional, financial, and personal life. The experiences in this program have developed my leadership, public speaking, and teamwork skills. I absolutely would recommend this program.”

Nidaa plans to take a gap year and then apply to medical schools. She hopes to attend Upstate Medical University.
