Synergy is a rigorous 10-week paid internship that places high school and college students into meaningful internship opportunities aligned with their academic interests. This program provides professional mentorship and training, creating a mutually beneficial relationship where both the organization and the student grow and succeed.

How It Works

  • Mercy Works, Inc. recruits students year-round, collecting detailed portfolios and matching them with employer needs.

  • Employers can review candidates and conduct interviews to find the best match.

  • Once a match is confirmed, students are prepped for onboarding before starting their internship on June 2 (college) or June 23 (high school).

  • Interns contribute to meaningful projects under mentorship while receiving regular feedback and professional development.

Placement Types

    • Interns work up to 30 hours per week (Monday-Thursday, 7.5 hours/day).

    • Flexible start and end times.

    • Weekly video check-ins, virtual team meetings, and use of project management tools.

    • Interns report to the workplace on scheduled days.

    • Hands-on learning experiences with direct mentorship.

    • Engagement in team meetings and organizational operations.

    • Combination of remote and in-person work.

    • Clear scheduling of remote vs. in-office days.

    • Flexible but structured expectations for engagement and productivity.
